Guitar and Violin Showdown!
One of the aspects we Filipinos lack, that includes us, bol-anons, is safety. We don’t prioritize safety, thus we pay the utmost price, our lives. Accidents happen, lives lost. When I say accident, I’m using the term loosely. Tragedies happen because there was someone responsible. Accidents on the other hand implies there’s none. Thus, it is wrong to state, “vehicular accident.” Such incident didn’t just happen without no reason. There was someone responsible: drunk driving, texting while driving, no headlights and the like.
But I would like to use “accident” loosely this time. Last month, June 30, 2009, Mag-aso Falls, Antequera, Bohol two young lads was caught in flash flood. No warning or whatsoever. An accident because nature have caused it but if safety was prioritized like having a some sort of warning for such instances were implemented they could have been saved. Probably with injuries, yes but alive. You can visit the pastafarian’s blog here and see his whole blog entry.
Here’s my condensed version of the incident. Prioritize safety! It may cost much but at least it would not cost your life!

I’ll update this post when I get my hands on the video!
Video Update:
You can’t believe what people do nowadays. The racket they make. I know some are just temporary phase of stupidity, just for kicks. Visit Bohol Update 101 to read the latest of these local swindlers we have in our city. The guy is as ugly as dung! As for bimbos, they are everywhere. They dominate the air–head.
So what’s my racket lately? I really do not call this a racket. This is just for kicks but it’s not sheer stupidity!
Taaaddaaaaaaahhh!!

Bol-anons and More
I’m not paid to do this crap! But here’s the latest 10×10 collage of people in Bol-anon’s Paradise! Made with Picture Collage Maker Pro with some ninja skills! Ey! For those who can’t wait for their faces to be posted in the collage…wait! I’m doing this very patiently and the process is utterly boring! I have 103 faces saved in one folder, that means 700 plus faces more to go!
Such phrases are commonly used jokingly on security guards! They’ve been tagged, branded and the least-respected amongst the “men-of-arms.” During the middle ages in Europe such function are commonly applied to “watchman” (I never saw the movie but the way I’m NOT hearing any comments about it gives me the conclusion it sucked). They’ve been often compared to the Army with their motto “No Guts, No Glory” and the Air Force’s “No Pain, No Gain” with their own motto, “No ID, No Entry.” Funny, even now when I’m typing this I have this smirk on my face, because it is mostly true.
“Asang ID nimu doy, ID nimu day…”
Students often blow their top over them for actually doing their jobs. C’mon! I’ve done that, a lot of times and just this morning I realized how stupid it was back then. This realization came when I was munching on twister fries on McDonald’s. Over the past year, I notice that security guards play a multi-role on restaurants or fast-food chain stores. They guard (of course!), they sometimes sweep and mop the floor, throw garbage in the bins and surprisingly they are the official greeters!
“Welcome to…thank you Sir, Ma’am..come again.” I heard that a lot of times when redeeming a pawned item, he said, “come again, sir!” I was like, in your dreams, I’m never coming back here except on desperate moments! My point is they do a lot of things that we often neglect on at least recognizing it. During this city’s 43rd Charter Day celebration I know there was some kind of tribute to those individuals for their “outstanding” performance. I would not use that word, outstanding though. Anyway, I never went there, like I always do, as much as possible I stay away from public activities (that’s when you get when you live too long in Manila, you start “cocooning”) but I do hope they honor some of the guards we have in this city.
This may be a strange or an odd entry but I believe this would help you see people more a little bit different!
Let’s volt in!
I mean, movie! Just one.
Transformers 2! I wonder Transformers 3 (there are rumors the 3rd installment will be July 2011 or 2012, anyway they’re just rumors) would be Four Hours long! Anyway, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, better hit the cinemas! Stop buying crappy cheap pirated movies! Surely, you can shell out 90php or 60php for the movie or wait for a couple of months until it’s available for rent in Video City. Don’t be cheap. Don’t be crappy. Anyway, our city’s theme this year is “Sharing responsibility towards better quality of life.”
It’s one of the greatest sequel I’ve ever seen. Usually sequels doesn’t live up to the expections from their first installment. It’s 3 hours long and it still has a story, wow! There was one funny part and I feel like the rest of the crowd didn’t get it! Anyway, I want a third installment!
Left 4 Dead 2
Yeah, that’s right. November, this year! Just watch the trailer! I think this game is best played with friends and family! Just watch out for those kids hanging out in internet shops since they knew how to operate a computer, they’re annoying and they spoil the game for you. Smack them!
Starcraft 2
I’ve placed the Starcraft Wiki Strategy Guide in the Links. That’s for SC1/Broodwar. This game was big way back then in the 90s. I was highschool then. Now, I’m $% (aha!) and I still play this game! This is like a wider and broader version of chess. Unlike DOTA, even dummies can play that! Starcraft 2 beta will be released soon! Here’s the 3rd battle report! 3-0 in favor of David Kim!
All of these for now!
If you actually read the news on yahoo and not just sitting around inviting gorgeous unknown ladie, you might have stumbled upon THIS! It’s all bullocks! No way would Philippine politics would ever solve this country’s problems! We’ve been doing this for like how many years now? You know if you’ve try something and it doesn’t work for a couple of times the usual thing to do and the most unstupid thing to do is look for another solution. But no, we Pinoys have to push it through. One administration rises up, others will try to bring it down. We can have EDSA up to part 100 and make history each year! Everything we do is dictated with motive! So, who’s to blame?
“While the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn’t there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. Who’s to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn’t be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense.”
The first to tell me where the quote is from gets a prize! Ha! Don’t google it! Cheater!
“Ahoy” the original telephone greeting suggested by Alexander Graham Bell, replaced by “Hello.” Now, I surely would know who’s the fella who started all that change. Speaking of change, I’ll be staying in Tagbilaran until I don’t know when. Probably longer, it’s good. With all the news I’ve read on H1N1 Virus, gladly shared in Manila, I’ll gladly pass, thank you!
The week I left Makati the virus spread lke wildfire. Thanks to the ever-overloaded LRT1, for one! I’m sure glad there’s no such thing here in our place. We have tricycles! I love our tricycles. They take us almost wherever we want almost in all instances for the same price as riding a jeepney!
The rainy season is here, so to speak. Though when I was up in Manila, she came a little bit early around the month of April. That was unexpected, like the Pop Icon’s passing.
So, here’s the new look and feel for this blog! I’ll be transferring my G-CASH account from my personal page here soon. So that this page will look cooler! What? Do you really expect some people would just drop by and give you moolah? Yeah, a little bit. Like those ones who tend to give out loads of cash when they are depressed!
Here’s something for our twilight addicts! I really don’t get it why they go gaga over that stuff. Vampires shining when the sun hits them, ridiculous! They’re so much better than blade! And I thought blade was the coolest vampire, the day walker! No, they’re not contented with that, so they made them shining like diamonds1 Anyway, you can dowload the eBooks here. Package contains Twilight, New Moon, Eclips and Breaking Dawn. Don’t complain if Midnight Sun is not there! I hate reklamadors, like our neighbor downstairs who I believe is suffering from hallucinations!
You will need winrar to unzip the package and you will need Microsoft Reader to read the files, duh! Read! Reader! If you don’t know what I’m talking about search for it on google!
In this modern age, you expect people to be at least highly skillful or at least a little bit above average. But no, freshmen college students who are taking up Computer Science or Computer Engineering don’t even know what in the world they’re in for. You type? Yeah, using the forefinger only at 10 words per minute. Any programs you know of? DOTA! I know it doesn’t apply to all but it sure is what’s happening. Visit your friendly neighborhood internet and gaming centers, you’ll see! And if you see some ladies, dark-browned skin wearing almost nothing then you know they’re just hooking up with some old guy somewhere across the globe!
Maajong Hapon!
